On Thanksgiving Eve, 2004, a mama dog and her newborn
babies were abandoned by a roadside on WA. They were promptly rescued and
adopted out 10 weeks later. That's a brief history of how Murphy
came into my life. It was love at first sight.
I wanted the best of everything for Murphy, and began
baking healthy, homemade dog treats for him. This blossomed into
homemade dog collars, dog leashes, dog quilts, placemats and
anything I could think of to spoil him. A little over a year
later, Kaz joined us, and now I had TWO dogs to love and spoil.
I began giving my handmade dog treats and dog "wares"
to friends and family, and my little "side business" began to
grow. Soon, I was selling them out of my home, at holiday
bazaars and to friends and co-workers. I realized that I love
doing this so much that I quit my "real" job of twelve+ years,
and "Murphy's Paw" was born.
